Empire Entertainment To Pull A Surprise With Shatta Wale?

On May 24th, 2014, the Accra International Conference would come alive with the fourth edition of the Ghana Meets Naija Concert, to promote African music and unity among African artistes.

Speaking to Flex Newspaper in an exclusive interview, the Business Development Manager of Empire Entertainment, organizers of the concert, Kelvin Adisi noted that for any artiste to be billed to perform at the concert, apart from the artiste's creativity and innovation, the artiste should be an artiste of the moment having his or her music making waves all the country.
   

He revealed that artistes to represent Ghana on the night would be Sarkodie, Castro, Guru and Lil Win. On the Naija side, the likes of KCee, Davido and Wizboyy will be present to pose great competition to their Ghanaian counterparts. According to him, this year's concert would be the official send-off party for Ghana's Black Stars as they get ready for the World Cup, Brazil 2014.
  

Judging from the criteria mentioned by Kelvin Adisi, it's quite uncertain why the most popular artiste in Ghana currently, Shatta Wale is absent from the line up of artistes to perform at the concert. Shatta Wale was on last year's edition of the concert and it's expected that he would again be on stage on the side of Ghana to defeat the Naija team. As it stands now, Shatta Wale is not part of this year's concert but it's quite a normal phenomenon to have some surprises pulled up by Empire Entertainment.
 

So far as Shatta Wale is the most popular artiste in Ghana as at now and the fact that his inclusion on the line up for the concert will help to bring some excitement to the concert, Flex newspaper is forced to believe that Shatta Wale would be a surprise artiste for this year's concert even though Shatta Wale and his management team, Bullhaus Entertainment are yet to be contacted by Empire Entertainment.
  

The Ghana Meets Naija Concert is about a month away and apart from Shatta Wale, I also foresee Empire Entertainment contracting other artistes to be surprise artistes for the concert. Which other artistes do you expect to be part of the Ghana Meets Naija Concert? Time will certainly tell but considering hits like Adonai remix  from Sarkodie, Odo pa from Castro, Guru's boyz abre, Davido's aye, KCee's Limpopo and Pull over among other hits, all I can say is that Ghana Meets Naija Concert would be spectacular and an event worth patronizing. I rest my case.
