Ghana, Raised in Toronto, Canada has finally spoken about their hit tune
that is making tremendous waves in the Ghanaian capital city, Accra.
He
is Akwesi Yeboah behind showbiz and ToppaTop as his claim to fame. The
sensational ToppaTop has come to stay in the Ghanaian music industry
with his massive talent as displayed in the hit tune 'Congratulations'
he recorded with his label mate, Tha Monk. The song which is enjoying
much airplay on radio stations across the country is a copyright
material of “Gye Nyame Records” , a Canada-based music label to which
they are associated with.

what could have informed the choice of ‘Congratulations’ as the title
track for the song, Akwesi explained, “We chose 'Congratulations' as the
title because we believe that every patriotic individual's efforts
needs to be appreciated. The song is a heroic one. The heroes can
relate”.
Having been in music for a while after
identifying his talent at an early age, and particularly enthused when
many put his lyrical prowess in the legendary class, ToppaTop says he
has a lot to offer and urges colleagues to help engender a healthy
competition in the music industry by producing good songs.
“I
wish to use this opportunity to tell my fellow musicians to reach out
for more, thus by making a lot of research about music to make our music
industry interesting,” he said.
