Odd Future member and open bisexual Frank Ocean got his first performance on Saturday Night Live yesterday and everybody is praising his performance last night.
Frank performed his two biggest songs of the moment “Thinking About You” and “Pyramids”.
Frank Ocean’s performance was a stark contrast to the
humor, but set the bar high for the rest of the season. His renditions
of “Thinking About You” and “Pyramids” were powered by an intimate stage
setup and his somber tone. (NBC Chicago)
Ocean had some help on stage as John Mayer joined him on stage to play the guitar.
You’ve heard the announcement , seen the (awkward) promo
clip , and now you can finally enjoy Frank Ocean ‘s debut performance
on Saturday Night Live, given you missed the initial broadcast last
night. The Odd Future crooner helped to kick off the long-running show’s
34th season with an impassioned set. Perched in front of a faux arcade,
kitted out in his usual Aztec sweater and bandana, Ocean gave delicious
renditions of “Thinkin Bout You” and “Pyramids,” both from his recent
channel ORANGE album. As promised , John Mayer lended his services on
the guitar, and helped to complete another fine performance from one of
music’s most polarizing talents. (Prefix Mag)
