Saturday night’s taping of the BET Hip Hop Awards went almost according to plan until Jeezy and Rick Ross
crossed paths. The two had alot to say to each other and eventually
started pushing and shoving and then the scuffling unfolded until
security and their bodyguards seperated. Police reports of the incident
even state that shots were fired but according to DJ Drama’s first
person account of the situation he didnt mention any shots and said both
rappers left the incident unscratched.
BET has issued a statement saying:
“BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in
entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past seven years BET has
celebrated the true art form of hip-hop. Due to some misjudgment of
select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place.
BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities
are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.”
