Stonebwoy has detailed his musical journey in a video documentary titled 'Making of an Artiste', produced by NKACC production.
Born Livingstone Etse Satekla, Stonebwoy explained how he started doing
music from primary school by mimicking popular songs and also being a
member of his church's children's choir.
In the video documentary, Stonebwoy said he started writing few lines
of his own in high school until secondary school when he began appearing
on radio programmes and also featuring on musical compilations with big
artistes like Samini.
Stonebwoy revealed he always stuck to the Reggae and Dancehall genre
and working under music producer Quick Action got him to meet Samini
which triggered the creation of High Grade Family to push his dream.
He mentioned people like Blakk Rasta, Samini, Shasha Marley among other
artistes in his genre of music who supported him to get to where he is
now. Stonebwoy acknowledged his relationship with some Jamaicans as a
plus to his success.
Stonebwoy could not leave out the effort of his mother who supported
him from childhood till date, citing a fatal accident he was involved in
at the age of 14 years which left him bedridden for 3 months with a
completely fractured knee.
He expressed appreciation to God for taking him through the ordeal
successfully and pledged to work harder to take his art to a much more
appreciable level.
